This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Create, develop, and sustain automated testing frameworks for the Salesforce organization within Commerce — encompassing Apex unit tests, UI automation, API testing, and comprehensive regression suites.
• Seamlessly incorporate automated test execution into CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitHub Actions and SFDX-based deployment workflows, ensuring quality checkpoints are maintained for every production deployment.
• Establish and take ownership of the testing strategy throughout the SDLC — from crafting story acceptance criteria and test plans to execution, defect triage, and final approval.
• Systematically investigate defects: reproduce, isolate, categorize by impact, and create minimum viable test cases to prevent future occurrences.
• Proactively identify gaps in test coverage across Apex classes, flows, integrations, and UI, addressing them before issues arise.
• Develop and uphold test data management strategies that facilitate dependable and repeatable test execution across sandbox environments.
• Collaborate with developers on code reviews through a quality-focused lens — highlighting concerns related to testability, missing coverage, and fragile patterns before they are deployed to production.
• Manage and enhance the team's quality dashboard, presenting coverage metrics, defect trends, error rates, and deployment health to the wider team.
• Engage in agile ceremonies, contribute to the refinement of user stories, and advocate for acceptance criteria that are sufficiently specific for testing.
• Promote a culture of quality — not as a final checkpoint but as a collective responsibility integrated into every phase of the delivery process.
• Over 5 years of experience in software quality engineering, with a significant portion in a Salesforce environment.
• An automation-first approach — you write test code as seamlessly as application code while ensuring manual testing is confined to its proper scope: exploratory testing, edge cases, and UAT support.
• Proficient in developing Apex test classes; you comprehend governor limits, test data isolation, and the distinction between meaningful and superficial Apex tests.
• Practical experience with UI automation frameworks (such as Selenium, Playwright, or similar) applied to Salesforce Lightning interfaces.
• Skilled in utilizing Jira for defect and sprint management.
• Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI, or comparable) and comfortable writing tests against REST and SOAP endpoints.
• Knowledgeable in Git-based source control, Salesforce DX (SFDX), and working within a structured sandbox-to-production release framework.
• Strong skills in defect analysis and debugging — capable of reading debug logs, tracing flow executions, or parsing API responses to identify root causes independently.
• Effective communicator who can articulate test objectives, report on coverage and quality metrics, and hold engineers and stakeholders accountable to quality standards in a non-confrontational manner.
• Adaptable in an agile setting — you participate in sprint ceremonies, write user stories and acceptance criteria, and maintain pace with an active delivery team.
• Excellent command of the English language.
• Willing to voice concerns when something seems amiss, offering constructive feedback.
• Ability to pinpoint application vulnerabilities and poor practices.
• Exceptional problem-solving, critical thinking, and debugging capabilities.
• Curious mindset that questions everything, always.
• Familiar with JIRA in relation to development best practices, including agile methodologies, testing strategies, and continuous integration.
• Experience with version control concepts and tools for deployment and release management (such as GitHub or similar tools).
• Health insurance
• Professional development opportunities
• Paid time off
