This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.
• Define the long-term technical roadmap and reference architecture for Salesforce.
• Facilitate discovery workshops to capture business capabilities and align them with Salesforce platform features.
• Design complex solutions that incorporate Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and/or Vlocom (OmniStudio).
• Create reusable patterns for data modeling, security (sharing & visibility), process automation, and user experience.
• Develop real-time and batch integration architectures linking Salesforce with enterprise systems such as SAP, Oracle, Workday, MuleSoft, Kafka, and AWS/Azure.
• Formulate data migration strategies, ETL patterns, and master data management (MDM) alignment.
• Ensure an API-first design approach (REST/SOAP/Bulk API, Platform Events, CDC) featuring robust error handling and monitoring.
• Set and uphold Salesforce development standards (code, configuration, testing, CI/CD).
• Oversee the Salesforce release cycle, ensuring minimal disruption through sandbox strategies and impact analysis.
• Design systems for high availability, bulk data processing, and peak concurrency.
• Implement Salesforce Shield, encryption, and compliance controls as necessary (GDPR, HIPAA, SOX, FedRAMP).
• Optimize SOQL queries, indexes, and caching strategies.
• Mentor Solution Architects, Technical Leads, and developers.
• Convert business requirements into user stories and technical design documents (TDDs).
• Collaborate with product managers, delivery leads, and vendor partners.
• Over 10 years of experience in software/enterprise architecture, with at least 6 years focused on Salesforce.
• Demonstrated success in leading architecture for enterprise environments.
• Experience in end-to-end Salesforce implementations as the lead architect.
• Extensive knowledge of Salesforce Limits (governor, storage, API, concurrent requests) and optimization techniques.
• Familiarity with platforms: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud (including Omni-Channel), and Experience Cloud.
• Integration experience with MuleSoft, Jitterbit, Dell Boomi, or custom middleware (Node.js/Java).
• Proficiency in DevOps tools like Copado, Flosum, Gearset, or Jenkins along with Salesforce CLI.
• Data management skills using Data Loader, OwnBackup, DemandTools, SOQL, and SQL.
• Preferred certifications include Salesforce Certified Application Architect, Salesforce Certified System Architect, Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) [strongly preferred], Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I & II, and MuleSoft Certified Architect (preferred).
