This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
β’ Oversee the management and maintenance of Carey's Salesforce environment, addressing CRM requirements for Executive Education, Partnerships, and Experiential Learning while handling platform administration.
β’ Collaborate directly with internal stakeholders at Carey to identify and prioritize enhancement requirements, effectively communicating technical options to non-technical audiences.
β’ Accountable for the creation, implementation, maintenance, performance, production support, and documentation of various departmental and enterprise-level application systems.
β’ Identify moderately complex business, clinical, or educational challenges by engaging with clients to observe and comprehend existing processes and the issues associated with them.
β’ Collect moderately complex system requirements through meetings with clients and by researching current technology.
β’ Create detailed task lists and project plans by evaluating project scope for moderately complex initiatives.
β’ Draft functional and technical specifications for programmers and business analysts to develop technical solutions.
β’ Maintain documentation for code and related processes in accordance with development methodologies.
β’ Develop and document moderately complex test scenarios to verify application functionality.
β’ Execute changes in compliance with change management policies and procedures for any project undertaken.
β’ Offer support by triaging and resolving moderately complex issues to guarantee prompt and effective service.
β’ Bachelorβs Degree.
β’ Three years of relevant experience with computer systems and applications.
β’ Additional education may compensate for required experience, and additional related experience may replace required education beyond a high school diploma/graduation equivalent, as permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
β’ Proficiency in the assigned application as well as the platform on which it operates.
β’ Salesforce Platform Developer I certification (Platform Developer II preferred); Salesforce Administrator or App Builder certification is a plus.
β’ Proven experience in Salesforce platform development: Apex (including triggers, batch and queueable Apex, callouts, logging, and error handling), Lightning Web Components, SOQL/SOSL, Flow, and the Salesforce API, with a solid understanding of platform limits.
β’ Experience in deploying metadata from sandboxes to production, utilizing tools such as Git and the Salesforce CLI; familiarity with release and environment management.
β’ Experience managing Salesforce orgs (users, profiles, permission sets, configuration).
β’ Experience enhancing solutions built on managed packages; knowledge of common AppExchange tools (e.g., Form Assembly, Conga).
β’ Experience with middleware integration (e.g., Boomi, MuleSoft) is an asset, if utilized within Carey's environment.
β’ Background in higher education or in CRM support for executive education, corporate relations, or other relationship-centric programs.
