This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee the entire RFP process, guaranteeing timely, precise, and high-caliber proposal submissions.
• Utilize quoting platforms and tools to extract rates and benefit information, formatting data into clear and professional proposals.
• Engage directly with carrier partners to request and obtain underwritten quotes.
• Develop and maintain proposal documents that adhere to company branding and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with the sales team to grasp client needs and customize proposal content accordingly.
• Maintain a keen attention to detail when compiling and presenting benefit data.
• Showcase advanced Microsoft Excel skills for rate analysis, comparisons, and ensuring data integrity.
• Prioritize and handle multiple proposals at once, ensuring timely delivery even under tight deadlines.
• Demonstrate excellent written communication and customer service in interactions with both internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Assist the sales team with administrative and operational tasks, such as creating and updating spreadsheets with benefit information, retrieving Summary of Benefits and Coverage (SBC) documents, and assembling benefit booklets and sales packets.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a proposal development, quoting, or sales support position—ideally within the insurance, employee benefits, or a related sector.
• Background in the group insurance or employee benefits industry.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel; capable of managing complex data sets and producing clear, useful outputs.
• Proven experience with quoting systems and proposal generation tools.
• Proficient in Salesforce CRM or comparable platforms.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Demonstrated capability to manage multiple priorities with little supervision.
• Outstanding attention to detail, organizational skills, and follow-through.
• Familiarity with document formatting tools and proposal templates (e.g., Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint).
