This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.

📋 Description

• Planning a daily schedule of sales calls for each day on campus.

• Conducting interviews in accordance with all sales training guidelines set by the immediate supervisor.

• Timely delivery of relevant sales materials (including complimentary books, marketing brochures, letters, software demonstrations) as enhancements to sales efforts.

• Promptly completing necessary servicing activities (including campus bookstores) for each assigned account.

• Actively and accurately managing the company CRM tool.

• Responding swiftly, whether in writing, via email, or by phone, to inquiries made by customers and/or Macmillan Learning personnel.

• Traveling to assigned accounts [approximately 35 hours/week] to facilitate personal sales interviews.

• Developing and implementing sales techniques that effectively promote Macmillan Learning Products [visiting 12-15 decision makers per campus per day].

• Providing service to new customers within the designated territories during the first year.

• Making weekly phone calls to the assigned sales manager.

• Submitting required sales tracking, sampling, and related documentation.

• Engaging in daily sampling and salesforce.com reporting.

• Timely submission of travel and entertainment expense reports.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree

• Direct sales experience; publishing experience is preferred but not mandatory

• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a sales team

• Strong communication skills and the ability to excel in a self-starting environment

• Knowledge of and/or a keen interest in working within an academic setting

• Proficiency in computer usage and basic software applications

• Valid driver’s license

• Willingness to travel, including the ability to work over 40 hours per week when necessary (typically during the fall and spring selling seasons).
