This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +1 more state.
• The Refractive Sales Manager is tasked with generating new business sales and placing refractive lasers in the United States or designated region.
• This role involves expanding and nurturing accounts while delivering high-quality service and account maintenance, aimed at boosting laser usage of installed equipment (click fees) alongside equipment sales.
• The individual is expected to commit to an annual sales plan, establish specific objectives, and forecast orders and anticipated revenue on a monthly basis.
• A strong focus on developing in-depth product knowledge and staying informed about market conditions is essential for the Refractive Sales Manager.
• Responsibilities also include effectively communicating insights, market trends, and competitive activities.
• The manager will arrange personalized sales demonstrations for refractive surgeons in their area and sustain relationships with both existing and potential accounts with longer sales cycles.
• The role requires promoting high-volume usage of refractive lasers at customer locations through diligent account management and regular visits and interactions.
• Leverage Zeiss customer install base information to strategically organize, plan, and execute sales initiatives.
• Educate and consistently follow up with Ophthalmologists and their staff regarding the operation, utilization, and application of our products.
• Provide timely, accurate, and constructive written and verbal communications concerning expected sales and planned monthly activities.
• Manage a specific cost center (business) to effectively control sales, expenses, inventory, and accounts receivable.
• Create and implement innovative and profitable marketing strategies tailored to the unique needs of the representative’s region.
• Foster synergy opportunities among other Zeiss companies, Field Service, and corporate partners when relevant programs arise.
• A four (4) year college degree is preferred.
• A minimum of four to six (4-6) years of prior experience in refractive laser sales with a demonstrated history of sales success.
• A high level of technical and clinical knowledge concerning refractive lasers and ophthalmic capital equipment is required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.
• Proficiency in computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and database management.
• Exceptional negotiation and diplomacy skills are a must.
• A valid motor vehicle license is required.
• The position involves traveling fifty percent or more of the time, including extensive air travel and overnight stays.
