This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Achieve and surpass annual booking goals within a designated geographical territory, focusing on the growth of large existing strategic accounts and the identification of new prospective accounts.
• Oversee the complete sales process from the initial lead to closing deals and ensuring repeat purchases.
• Develop comprehensive business plans to support the achievement of objectives and quotas.
• Act as the primary representative in conveying our value proposition to prospective customers in both the academic and commercial sectors of the industry.
• Identify customer needs and guarantee that we supply the essential products, tools, and technical support to help them reach their ambitious objectives, ensuring our sustained competitiveness.
• Collaborate with various internal departments on complex customer tenders, bids, and other contractual agreements.
• Utilize go-to-market resources (such as solution engineers, marketing, professional materials, evaluation programs, etc.) effectively to enhance customer satisfaction and foster repeat business.
• Keep an accurate and current record of all leads and opportunities under your management; provide reports as necessary.
• A minimum of 10 years of demonstrated success as a growth-focused salesperson, particularly in new business development.
• Experience in hardware sales and interactions with academia and research laboratories is highly advantageous.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English; exceptional presentation abilities.
• Knowledge and experience in market research, sales cycle management, and negotiation tactics.
• Capability to foster trustworthy relationships.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills; a high degree of independence.
• Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).
• Educational background in physics or electrical engineering, with an understanding of quantum computing.
• Willingness to travel frequently to meet with customers and prospects.
