Sales Manager – Energy & Process Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Identify, assess, and engage new VARs, system integrators, distributors, and agents in alignment with Valmet’s growth strategy throughout the Americas.

• Develop and nurture relationships with selected existing partners, serving as their main commercial and development liaison.

• Oversee partner onboarding and enablement, which includes: Sales and solution training, Go-to-market strategy planning, and Support for initial projects and references.

• Collaborate with partners on sales opportunities by assisting with: Early opportunity identification, Solution definition and positioning, Customer engagement, and proposal development.

• Provide support to partners during project execution in conjunction with Valmet delivery, engineering, and product teams.

• Perform market and industry analysis to uncover growth prospects for partner-led initiatives.

• Ensure conformity with global partner frameworks, processes, tools, and governance protocols.

• Serve as a liaison between partners and Valmet’s internal stakeholders, including sales, product management, engineering, and services.

• Travel within the Americas region as necessary to connect with partners and customers.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in automation, electrical engineering, energy, process engineering, or a relevant technical field.

• Experience in automation, DCS, control systems, or instrumentation.

• Familiarity with partner business, indirect channel sales, system integrators, VARs, or distributors.

• Experience interacting with customers or partners in the energy and/or process sectors.

• Knowledge of industrial sales cycles and solution-based selling methodologies.

• Capability to work efficiently in a matrix and international organization.

• Willingness to travel regionally as required.

• Familiarity with Valmet DNA or similar DCS platforms is beneficial but not mandatory.
