This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Lead, mentor, and oversee a team of Mid-Market/Enterprise quota-carrying sales representatives, offering guidance, support, and coaching to ensure their success in meeting sales objectives.
• Conduct sales forecasting, analyze data, and provide precise sales predictions to aid strategic decision-making and resource distribution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer success, to align strategies, share insights, and enhance overall customer satisfaction.
• Assist sales representatives during customer calls, actively participating in meetings, sharing expertise, and ensuring customer requirements are addressed.
• Hold regular one-on-one and team meetings to encourage open dialogue, offer feedback, and promote professional development opportunities for the sales team.
• Undertake performance management responsibilities, establishing expectations, tracking progress, and implementing performance improvement plans as needed.
• Represent VelocityEHS at industry events, conferences, and trade shows, showcasing our products and services while generating leads and enhancing brand visibility.
• Engage in department and cross-department workstreams, collaborating with colleagues to advance projects and initiatives.
• Ensure the effective adoption and utilization of the sales tech stack, maximizing technology tools to boost sales effectiveness and efficiency.
• Manage change within the sales team, facilitating smooth transitions and addressing resistance to change.
• Coach and develop sales representatives, providing guidance, training, and opportunities for skill enhancement to improve their performance.
• Maintain a results-oriented mindset, consistently meeting and surpassing sales quotas and targets.
• Advocate for the consistent use of MEDDPICC as the team's qualification framework.
• Identify opportunities for AI to streamline processes or enhance team impact.
• Foster team development by encouraging AI learning, experimentation, and knowledge sharing.
• Uphold and promote the company values, fostering a positive and inclusive work culture while nurturing a strong team environment.
• Proven history of success in achieving sales targets over $2M+ annual quota through team performance and strategic deal leadership.
• At least 3+ years of management experience leading enterprise or global SaaS sales teams.
• Strong proficiency in MEDDPICC methodology and enterprise-level deal qualification.
• Demonstrated experience with CRM software and contemporary sales coaching tools to manage and monitor sales activities and enhance representative performance.
• Clear examples of performance management and accountability frameworks that yield results.
• Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to inspire, motivate, and drive a high-performance sales team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships and influencing key stakeholders both internally and externally.
• Strong analytical abilities with the capability to interpret sales data and make data-driven decisions.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented, with a strong sense of accountability and ownership.
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to evolving market conditions.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degrees are a plus.
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in B2B SaaS Sales.
• Deep understanding of sales methodologies, behaviors, processes, and the customer journey across Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Product.
• Negotiation skills with contracts, Master Service Agreements, and Data Processing Agreements.
