This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.
• Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies aimed at expanding and managing a business portfolio to drive profitable growth.
• Take ownership of the assigned territory, focusing on business development and utilizing performance metrics to formulate annual plans and monitor territorial performance.
• Perform thorough agency diagnostics to evaluate performance and discover growth opportunities.
• Facilitate agency appointments and cultivate long-term relationships through both in-person and virtual office visits.
• Identify, onboard, and establish performance goals for new agencies, while delivering training and support.
• May pre-qualify accounts as necessary.
• Persuade agency partners through strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including Product and Underwriting, to ensure that sales strategies are aligned with business goals.
• Grasp the focus of Travelers Enterprise and leverage opportunities to cross-sell Travelers products by engaging with business partners across different lines.
• May identify opportunities for book transfers.
• Acquire knowledge of competitor products, capabilities, and local market trends.
• Utilize advanced data and analytics for making sales decisions and performance evaluations, drawing on extensive knowledge of Travelers' systems and platforms to enhance the sales process.
• Employ AI technologies to streamline industry processes, improve decision-making, and foster innovation, with a commitment to continuous learning and adapting to emerging AI trends and tools.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, business, or a related field.
• A minimum of four years of experience in insurance sales or a related field, managing a book of business, achieving substantial sales growth, meeting sales targets, conducting agency diagnostics, and utilizing digital sales tools.
• Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation (or willingness to obtain it).
• In-depth knowledge of Travelers products and the general Property & Casualty marketplace.
• Strong influencing and negotiation skills to motivate agency partners to adopt Travelers products and services.
• Proven ability to collaboratively establish and maintain relationships with a diverse array of stakeholders, both internally and externally.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to set goals and priorities, meeting these objectives in a timely manner.
• Exceptional organizational skills to manage complex tasks and priorities effectively in order to meet sales goals and deadlines.
