Sales Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Offer hands-on leadership in accounting and financial reporting.

• Oversee the company's accounting functions, regular forecasting, and job costing processes.

• Discover and pursue new business prospects through research, cold outreach, networking, and participation in industry events.

• Conduct customer visits to assess growth potential and enhance sales.

• Evaluate customer requirements and suggest tailored product solutions.

• Prepare and present technical and commercial proposals.

• Act as the primary contact for distributors and end users.

• Efficiently and professionally address customer inquiries and complaints.

• Assist with logistics, customs procedures, order tracking, and delivery coordination.

• Support customers in the design, installation, and configuration of transverse jaws for packaging machines.

• Diagnose sealing problems and propose performance enhancements.

• Collaborate with the internal engineering team for product adjustments and design approvals.

• Relay customer feedback to engineering and production to ensure timely deliveries.

• Help with administrative tasks such as invoicing and documentation.

• Coordinate with logistics to fulfill customer-specific shipping and delivery needs.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in technical support, maintenance, or related roles in packaging machinery (e.g., horizontal/vertical form-fill-seal machines, transverse jaws).

• Strong knowledge of packaging machine components and mechanical systems.

• Capability to interpret and validate technical drawings; CAD experience (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) is a plus.

• Proficient in accurately measuring and documenting mechanical components.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, especially regarding sealing issues.

• Excellent communication, customer service, and negotiation skills.

• Effective intermediary between clients and internal departments.

• Self-motivated with a willingness to travel frequently (50% +/-).
