Safety Training Specialist – Traveling

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +9 more states.

📋 Description

• Foster and enhance Mullins’ safety culture at the job site level.

• Utilize discretion, independent judgment, and professional expertise to plan and execute safety training from the corporate training program tailored to the specific scope and needs of each job site.

• Collaborate with Human Resources and the Recruiting Department to coordinate onboarding efforts.

• Work alongside the Project Management team to schedule and conduct necessary safety training.

• Prepare and submit Monthly and Quarterly Reports to the Corporate Safety Trainer.

• Possess the full capabilities to provide training on advanced level training courses.

• Offer suggestions for process and procedure improvements while continuously seeking to enhance Mullins’ Safety Training Program and its related policies and procedures.

• Cultivate a culture and work environment where safety and its required training are integrated into every task.

• Maintain comprehensive training files and records.

• Ensure that all on-site employees comply with PPE requirements through effective training and culture-building strategies.

• Develop proficiency in Procore, Schoox, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and other relevant software.

⛳️ Requirements

• OSHA 30-Hour Certification is required.

• First Aid / CPR Certification is necessary.

• OSHA 510 Certification is essential.

• A minimum of three (3) years of safety experience is required.

• BCSP or equivalent certification must be obtained within 1 year of employment.

• Preferred qualifications include five (5) or more years of experience, along with OSHA 500 and BCSP certifications.

• Safety training/certifications in areas such as LOTO, Confined Space, Fall Protection, Scaffolding, Excavation and Trenching, HAZCOM, etc. are desirable.

• Ability to track and manage substantial amounts of data and information in an organized manner using computer programs is essential.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are required; proficiency in Spanish is preferred.

• Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills are necessary.

• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a capacity to find timely solutions are essential.
