This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Oversee the creation, execution, and ongoing enhancement of safety, health, and security initiatives, ensuring alignment with company protocols and relevant regulatory standards.
• Act as the expert and primary contact for all matters related to safety, health, and security, collaborating closely with operations, HR, Legal, Internal Audit, and external organizations.
• Perform risk evaluations, compliance inspections, and security assessments to identify weaknesses, ensure adherence to policies, and implement corrective measures that foster a safe and secure workplace.
• Examine safety incidents, loss patterns, and operational metrics; lead investigations, guarantee precise documentation and reporting, and generate actionable insights and metrics for management.
• Develop and implement safety and security training programs aimed at increasing awareness, enhancing compliance, and boosting employee engagement across all levels.
• Assist operational teams by creating and executing action plans that enhance safety performance, minimize risks and losses, and ensure compliance with physical security and environmental regulations.
• Engage in process evaluations and job hazard analyses for both new and existing operations to proactively reduce risks and improve workplace safety.
• Establish and uphold reporting systems to relay safety performance, security initiatives, and essential performance indicators to leadership.
• Cultivate robust cross-functional relationships to promote a culture of safety, security, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
• Willingness to travel up to 75%; must hold a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license or passport in accordance with federal travel guidelines.
• 4 years of pertinent work experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including both planned and unplanned overtime.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work or military experience (preferred).
• 4 years of experience in a security-related field (preferred).
• Membership in a nationally recognized safety organization (preferred).
• 5 years of experience managing safety and health programs within an industrial or warehouse setting (preferred).
• Certification in W-Z interviews and interrogations (preferred).
• Background in working within a distribution network and logistics environment (preferred).
• Experience in project management, investigations, and training (preferred).
• Technical understanding of CCTV-alarm systems (preferred).
