This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Serve as the main point of contact with the Naval Authority and global regulatory bodies.
• Analyze and implement intricate standards across various jurisdictions.
• Proactively monitor evolving international standards to ensure the ongoing compliance of our autonomous platforms.
• Create and manage the framework for demonstrating system integrity from the outset.
• Formulate the Software Integrity Policy (SIP) to meet the requirements set forth by the Naval Authority and the IMO.
• Supervise validation and verification (V&V) processes specifically focused on autonomous control systems.
• Demonstrated experience as a Safety Engineer in the Maritime, Aerospace, or Defense industries.
• Profound knowledge of Software Integrity Levels (SIL) and their implementation in autonomous systems.
• Acquainted with Naval Authority Rules and the developing IMO MASS regulatory framework.
• Capacity to reconcile strict safety requirements with the flexibility necessary for project execution.
• Outstanding ability to distill technical information into concise compliance reports for external auditors.
• Experience in a 'Lead' or 'Head of' role, capable of cultivating a strong safety culture within a multidisciplinary team.
• Security clearance required
