This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +2 more states.
• Provide specialized knowledge in safety and health to assist in preventing and minimizing employee injuries and illnesses for Risk Services clients.
• Aid clients and their field management in creating and sustaining effective safety programs across designated branches and job sites.
• Ensure adherence to relevant regulations (OSHA, DOT, MSHA, EPA) and company policies.
• Mitigate risks, decrease losses, and lower overall insurance expenses.
• Conduct assessments of safety program needs to pinpoint deficiencies and suggest preventive and corrective measures.
• Develop, implement, and uphold health and safety policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Execute and evaluate hazard control programs; measure, audit, and assess their effectiveness.
• Facilitate and document necessary safety training for employees, supervisors, and temporary workers.
• Lead safety meetings and training sessions for client employees.
• Assist with safety inspections and observations at branches, facilities, fields, and job sites.
• Perform job hazard analyses to identify potential workplace hazards.
• Coach and advise Acrisure and client employees and management on safety compliance and best practices for safe work.
• Support compliance efforts concerning federal, state, and local regulations (OSHA 1910/1926, DOT, MSHA, EPA, ADA).
• Engage in client safety initiatives, meetings, and programs, including delivering customized training as necessary.
• Collaborate with job-site safety personnel to identify and address safety concerns.
• Investigate and document incidents involving employees, temporary workers, or company property.
• Coordinate with Acrisure Claims Advocates and medical providers to assist with injury management and return-to-work programs.
• Uphold OSHA recordkeeping obligations and safety incentive programs.
• Travel and stay overnight as needed (up to 50%).
• Extensive knowledge of safety and loss control with practical field experience.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) with the capability to effectively communicate safety concepts both verbally and in writing.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with the capacity to evaluate risks and propose practical solutions.
• Proficient in preparing clear, formal reports on incidents and investigations.
• Experience in reviewing and keeping updated on OSHA 1910 and 1926 standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Comfortable working autonomously, adapting to changing priorities, and maintaining robust client relationships.
• OSHA 500 & 501 Authorized Outreach Trainer (mandatory).
• Over 5 years of relevant experience in Safety and Loss Control.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred).
• Certification as a Safety and Health Official (CSHO) preferred.
