Safety Advisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Assist field crews, contractors, and client representatives in upholding safe work practices.

• Recognize hazards and support the implementation of site safety requirements.

• Foster a positive safety culture throughout the organization.

• Conduct site safety observations, inspections, and hazard assessments.

• Aid in orientations, toolbox talks, and safety meetings.

• Oversee work activities to ensure compliance with company, client, and regulatory standards.

• Facilitate the reporting processes for incidents, near-misses, and hazards.

• Evaluate FLHAs, permits, JHAs, and other safety documentation.

• Engage in professional communication with workers, supervisors, and client representatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess one or more of the following: NCSO, CSO, HSO, HSE designation, or equivalent safety experience.

• Prior experience in a Safety Advisor, HSE, CSO, HSO, or a similar safety role is preferred.

• Capable of working autonomously and communicating effectively with crews, supervisors, and clients.

• Exceptional attention to detail, documentation, and site safety processes.

• A positive, professional demeanor with a focus on teamwork.

• A valid driver’s license is preferred.

• An Occupational Health and Safety certificate, diploma, or related safety program is considered an asset.

• CRST or CRSP designation is regarded as a strong asset.

• Additional industry-related safety training, certifications, or professional designations are viewed as assets, including First Aid, H2S Alive, CSTS, Confined Space, Fall Protection, and WHMIS.

• Candidates based in Ontario are preferred, but qualified applicants from outside the area are encouraged to apply.
