Rural Health Program Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.

📋 Description

• Facilitates data management, reporting, and performance monitoring efforts for statewide rural health transformation projects.

• Aids in the creation and upkeep of dashboards, reports, and organized data products that track program implementation and provider efficacy.

• Conducts data extraction, cleaning, validation, and analysis to fulfill regular reporting needs and ad hoc inquiries.

• Preserves structured datasets and tracking mechanisms in accordance with program reporting and compliance requirements.

• Produces standard reports and visualizations to aid in performance monitoring across provider initiatives.

• Assists in detecting trends, discrepancies, and data quality concerns.

• Collaborates with data, technical assistance, and program teams to foster data-driven decision-making.

• Contributes to the development of reports, presentations, and documentation for state and federal stakeholders.

• Keeps well-organized, audit-ready documentation of data sources, methodologies, and reporting outputs.

• Promotes the ongoing enhancement of data processes and workflows.

• Up to 25% travel may be necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in data analytics, public health, health informatics, statistics, economics, or a related field is required.

• At least 2 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or data management.

• Proficiency in Excel, SQL, R, SAS, or other data tools for managing and analyzing datasets.

• Experience in developing reports or dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools is preferred.

• Excellent attention to detail and capability to validate and reconcile data across various sources.

• Ability to clearly communicate analytical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience in supporting healthcare, Medicaid, or public health programs is preferred.

• Capability to manage multiple reporting deadlines and priorities within a structured environment.
