This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• You analyze extensive amounts of sensor, condition, and event data from the switch diagnostics system, Artemis.
• You develop, validate, and enhance analytical methods for fault detection, anomaly identification, and condition evaluation.
• You extract valuable insights from measurement data and articulate them clearly regarding the condition of switch components.
• You assist in the ongoing development of data-driven predictive models for maintenance purposes.
• You collaborate closely with infrastructure specialists to technically interpret measurement data, damage patterns, and identified anomalies.
• You evaluate the significance of analysis outcomes for operations, maintenance, and technical optimization.
• You cultivate a comprehensive understanding of physical system behavior, digital analysis processes, and operational value.
• You work in close coordination with software developers on data pipelines, ensuring data quality, visualizations, and system integration.
• You facilitate the effective integration of analytical methods into existing digital applications.
• You create reports, dashboards, and decision-making templates for internal teams and clients.
• You collaborate with sensor specialists to evaluate measurement quality, signal fidelity, and sensor configurations.
• You contribute to the development of test scenarios and strategies for the system's enhancement.
• You assist in field tests and pilot projects, assess results, and support the transition of analytical insights into practical applications.
• A degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience in analyzing technical measurement data, preferably in an industrial or infrastructure setting.
• Strong knowledge of data analysis, statistics, Python, and SQL; experience in machine learning is an advantage.
• An interest in sensor technology, measurement systems, and railway-related topics concerning switches and predictive maintenance.
• The ability to clearly present complex data relationships and communicate them to diverse audiences.
• A structured, solution-focused work style, excellent teamwork skills, and very good proficiency in German.
