Ruby on Rails Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Assess and verify AI-generated code suggestions — comprehend the architecture, identify edge cases, approve or redirect as necessary.

• Implement features from start to finish within a Shopify application.

• Prioritize and troubleshoot bugs and tasks; utilize agentic coding tools to address them.

• Ensure platform stability and uphold code quality.

• Work closely with engineering leadership to define product direction.

• Contribute to the development of engineering practices as the team expands.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience with Ruby on Rails, particularly in hands-on Shopify app development.

• Comfort in an agentic coding environment — adept at critically reviewing AI-generated code.

• Active GitHub presence: you have been consistently shipping code recently.

• Familiarity with AI development tools (such as Claude Code, Codex, or similar) is an advantage.

• Startup mentality: resourceful, team-oriented, and free of ego.

• Excellent written communication skills in English.
