Ruby on Rails Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop clean and maintainable code utilizing the Rails framework, adhering to industry best practices.

• Design and enhance RESTful APIs that support our range of applications, ensuring reliability, performance, and consistency across the platform.

• Integrate Hotwire components such as Turbo Streams, Turbo Frames, and Stimulus for seamless, near-instantaneous user interactions on the front-end.

• Collaborate with UX design and product management teams to brainstorm and refine both new and existing requirements.

• Implement new features and products while also enhancing current functionalities.

• Consult with managerial, engineering, and technical staff to clarify program objectives, identify issues, and propose improvements.

• Keep your team informed about your progress, challenges, and status updates.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in software development using Ruby on Rails.

• Strong grasp of Rails conventions in areas such as ActiveRecord, routing, controllers, service objects, and background jobs.

• Extensive experience in building and maintaining RESTful APIs.

• Proficient in Hotwire (Stimulus.js and Turbo) for creating dynamic and interactive user interfaces.

• Skilled in modern HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Proven ability to translate UI/UX designs into responsive and user-friendly interfaces.

• Experienced in using Git for version control.

• Capable of writing clean, well-tested, and maintainable code.

• Collaborative and communicative, with a strong focus on teamwork and problem-solving.

• Open to constructive feedback and actively engage in code reviews.

• Excellent time management skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and effectively meet deadlines.

• Eager to learn, develop, and ask questions when necessary.

• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
