RPG Developer, IBMi

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• In long-term client projects, you will engage in the maintenance, enhancement, and further development of existing core systems across the retail, manufacturing, insurance, and banking sectors.

• You will analyze, design, and implement client requirements, which includes preparing necessary documentation.

• You will provide focused support for our clients on modernization topics, which encompasses smooth migration to FullFree, the utilization of graphical user interfaces, and the deployment of web services, always with team support rather than working independently.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in software development on the IBMi/AS400 platform.

• Strong knowledge of RPG, ranging from RPG III to full-free format.

• Familiarity with COBOL.

• Experience in database modeling.

• Excellent analytical thinking abilities.

• A commitment to continuous learning, refreshing knowledge, and exploring beyond familiar boundaries.

• Willingness to occasionally work on-site at client locations (approximately 10–20%).

• Proficiency in German at a native-speaker level.
