This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Act as the main internal liaison for inquiries related to national and state cardiac/vascular registry data management.
• Conduct both concurrent and retrospective reviews of medical records and data to uncover patient care, procedural, and systemic issues.
• Analyze clinical data and reports to identify trends that affect quality outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with the Hospital Quality Office and the Quality Teams of the Department of Medicine/Surgery.
• Create initiatives aimed at enhancing quality outcomes.
• Engage in root cause analyses and perform audits on patient records.
• A valid NYS Registered Nurse license is mandatory.
• A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• At least 4 years of clinical nursing experience is required.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in clinical chart review is necessary.
• Experience in monitoring clinical data and performance is essential.
• Knowledge of performance/process improvement is required.
• Clinical experience in perioperative nursing is preferred.
• Familiarity with quality improvement or patient safety is preferred.
• Flexible working hours.
• No shifts during nights, weekends, or holidays.
• Opportunity for partial remote work from home.
