RN Clinical Nurse – Ambulatory

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.

📋 Description

• Deliver patient-focused, specialized, evidence-based nursing care throughout the continuum.

• Evaluate patients’ physical status and nursing requirements utilizing the nursing process, evidence-based methodologies, and designated competencies.

• Collaborate with patients and the interprofessional team to create and execute comprehensive care plans.

• Exhibit clinical proficiency and undertake professional nursing responsibilities appropriate to patients’ age, development, and cultural background.

• Enhance patients’ care experience, optimize care processes, reduce costs, and advocate for quality improvements.

• Foster a professional atmosphere that encourages mentoring, engagement, development, and retention of skilled clinicians.

• Partner with physicians and other team members to address challenges and enhance patient care.

• Actively manage risks and avert crises.

• Respond effectively during life-threatening emergencies.

• Maintain regular communication with patients and staff via phone; inbound and outbound calls are documented and monitored for quality assurance, training, and compliance.


⛳️ Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) is mandatory.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is desirable.

• Valid Wisconsin RN Licensure is required.

• American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is necessary.

• Availability for shifts from 10 p.m.–6:30 a.m. or 11 p.m.–7:30 a.m. is essential.

• Flexible schedule from Monday to Friday with rotation for weekends and holidays.

• Capability to move freely, including standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently.

• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination needed for patient care tasks.

• Adherence to department-specific competencies is required.

• Proficiency in transporting, transferring, and positioning patients and/or equipment.

• Competence in managing frequent phone interactions with patients and staff.

• Potential exposure to blood-borne pathogens, sharp instruments, communicable diseases, hazardous substances, pharmacological agents, and occasionally aggressive or combative patients.
