This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.
• Deliver patient-focused, specialized, evidence-based nursing care throughout the care continuum using an interprofessional treatment approach, research, education, and advocacy.
• Provide compassionate and safe nursing care within the guidelines set by the Wisconsin Board of Nursing and ThedaCare policy.
• Evaluate patients’ physical conditions and nursing requirements utilizing the nursing process, evidence-based practices, and specific competencies.
• Collaboratively create and implement patient care plans with the patients and the interprofessional team.
• Exhibit clinical expertise and carry out professional RN duties in accordance with patients’ age, development, and cultural background.
• Enhance the patient care experience, optimize care processes, reduce costs, and promote quality outcomes.
• Participate in the mentoring, engagement, and development of skilled clinicians.
• Collaborate and maintain strong relationships with physicians and interprofessional team members to address issues and enhance care delivery.
• Take proactive measures to manage risks and perform competently in life-threatening situations.
• Maintain regular communication with patients and staff via phone, with calls recorded and monitored for quality assurance, training, and compliance purposes.
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) is mandatory.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
• Current RN Licensure in Wisconsin is required.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
• Capacity to move freely, including standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently.
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination necessary for patient care tasks.
• Ability to meet department-specific competencies.
• Proficiency in communicating frequently by phone with patients and team members.
• Flexibility to work variable schedules from Monday to Friday, including weekends and holidays.
• Capability to transport, transfer, and position patients and/or equipment.
• Willingness to work in environments with blood-borne pathogens, sharp objects, communicable diseases, hazardous materials, pharmacological agents, and occasionally aggressive or combative patients.
