This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Collaborate with the Commercial department to cultivate robust relationships aimed at driving new business development, while adhering to the Regional underwriting strategy; foster connections with other essential functions.
• Oversee a portfolio of high-value clients to enhance retention and strengthen customer relationships, which may entail travel on an as-needed basis.
• Evaluate credit limit requests promptly within the response time parameters outlined in the Risk Business model, utilizing all available information and personal market insights.
• Monitor the risk portfolio by soliciting additional information from the Risk office, in accordance with Information Quality Standards.
• Assist the Commercial team in managing the customer loss ratio and implementing necessary measures to maintain or restore portfolio profitability.
• Proactively lead and manage cross-functional projects to further develop and improve the Credit Underwriting department.
• Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, or a related field.
• Advanced degree, such as an MBA or MS in Finance, is preferred.
• Over 10 years of experience in financial management.
• Background in banking, credit insurance brokerage, or a credit insurance environment is preferred.
• Proficient in computer skills, with a solid understanding of financial software and spreadsheet applications.
• Strong analytical and research abilities.
• Capability to build long-term customer relationships, even in situations involving restrictive decisions and challenging market conditions.
• Excellent planning, organizational, and workflow prioritization skills.
• Effective communicator with the ability to persuade others regarding decisions made; competent in conducting visits and meetings, including challenging discussions with senior executives.
• Bilingual candidates are preferred.
• Seeking candidates with a fundamental understanding of Artificial Intelligence technologies and a willingness to learn and incorporate AI into daily business operations.
