This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Belgium.
• Lead the monitoring of level 1 controls, gathering their outcomes, and providing support to managers.
• Design, plan, and execute level 2 controls utilizing a risk-driven methodology.
• Oversee other level 2 controls conducted within the organization by the group DPO and group CISO, specifically in the realm of EPI Operations BV.
• Assist in the ongoing identification, evaluation, and documentation of risks in the risk register (pertaining to EPI OPs).
• Manage the Key Risk Indicators (related to EPI Ops).
• Establish and track risk mitigation strategies (concerning EPI OPs).
• Contribute to risk reporting provided during the EPI Operations BV Supervisory Board meetings.
• Supervise risk appetite thresholds and ensure that appropriate mitigation measures are implemented.
• Engage in initiatives aimed at raising risk and internal control awareness.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the function.
• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders across the three lines of defense, including the EPI SE Compliance Officer, EPI SE Business Continuity Manager, and EPI SE Chief Risk & Compliance Officer.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Risk Management or Internal Control, preferably within the Payments, Banking, or FinTech sectors.
• Solid understanding of risk management frameworks (e.g., COSO) and the Three Lines of Defense model.
• Proven experience in working with senior stakeholders (such as Compliance, Operations, IT Security, etc.).
• Previous experience in preparing risk dashboards, reports, and summaries suitable for board-level presentation.
• Knowledge of regulatory environments.
• Proficient in English (both written and spoken); knowledge of any additional European language is a significant advantage.
• Familiarity with Jira.
