• Oversee the onboarding process for new providers, which includes assessing applications, credentials, and necessary documentation.
• Provide operational assistance concerning legal issues, such as depositions, document requests, and translations related to enterprise risk functions or insurance requirements.
• Aid in the management of insurance programs by evaluating policies, coverage terms, and ensuring compliance with binders and contracts.
• Support claims management processes by coordinating with risk management, insurance providers, and legal advisors.
• Analyze contracts and vendor agreements for insurance and indemnification stipulations, escalating concerns as needed.
• Maintain files, reports, schedules of insurance, and related documents pertaining to risk management.
• Assist in the creation of insurance-related reports, renewal information, and requests for proposals (RFPs).
• Work collaboratively with internal teams to identify potential risk exposures and opportunities for risk reduction.
• Carry out additional tasks and projects as assigned in alignment with Enterprise Risk Management goals.
• An Associate or Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, legal studies, risk management, business, finance, or a related field is required or preferred based on experience.
• Professional certifications in risk or insurance (e.g., ARM, CPCU, CPHRM) are preferred.
• A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in healthcare risk management, insurance, legal support, or claims management is required.
• Experience with insurance policies, contracts, or healthcare operations is preferred.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Capability to manage multiple priorities and adhere to deadlines.
• Detail-oriented with sound judgment and discretion.
• Ability to work collaboratively across various departments and levels of leadership.
• Familiarity with risk management, insurance principles, and healthcare operations.
• Proficiency in standard business software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
