Risk Assessment Consultant – Data Governance, Security

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Establish, implement, and uphold policies, standards, and processes for data governance.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define data standards and facilitate effective practices for data collection, storage, access, and usage.

• Lead initiatives in data stewardship to promote comprehensive and efficient data governance.

• Conduct risk assessments, execute risk analysis, and contribute to activities related to risk modeling.

• Support operations of File Integrity Monitoring (FIM), which include monitoring, investigation, reporting, and escalation of findings.

• Develop and provide training programs to enhance organizational awareness and encourage the adoption of data governance practices.

• Conduct audits to evaluate adherence to data governance policies and suggest areas for improvement.

• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure the integration of data security controls within governance frameworks and processes.

• Create and maintain documentation pertaining to data governance processes, standards, controls, and procedures.

• Engage with stakeholders to collect feedback and promote the ongoing enhancement of governance and risk management initiatives.

• Operate independently while actively participating in team discussions and offering solutions to complex business challenges.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in Data Governance, Delivery Risk Management, Risk Analysis & Modeling, and File Integrity Monitoring (FIM) Operations.

• Advanced expertise in Data Governance, encompassing policy development, data stewardship, governance frameworks, and compliance monitoring.

• Solid understanding of data integrity, data security, risk management practices, and regulatory compliance requirements.

• Proven experience in conducting audits, risk assessments, and suggesting improvements for processes and controls.

• Experience working with business stakeholders and IT teams to advance governance, security, and risk management goals.

• Intermediate proficiency in Data Analysis and Data Management is preferred.

• Active Reliability Security Clearance is mandatory.
