This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Lead the coordination and continuous improvement of RWWA’s enterprise risk management framework, ensuring that risks are identified, assessed, monitored, and reported in accordance with the organisational risk appetite.
• Collaborate with business units to embed a culture of risk awareness and accountability into operational planning, decision-making, and change initiatives.
• Assist in identifying and mitigating strategic, operational, regulatory, and reputational risks throughout the organisation.
• Coordinate risk reporting, analysis, and insights for senior management, committees, and governance forums, escalating significant risks as necessary.
• Supervise the development and upkeep of risk registers, key risk indicators, control assurance processes, and risk treatment strategies.
• Provide daily leadership for the risk and compliance function, supporting specialized roles within the team.
• Proven leadership that aligns with RWWA’s core values of Respect, Accountability, Connection, and Excellence.
• Demonstrated experience with enterprise risk management frameworks, including conducting risk assessments, control assurance, and risk reporting.
• Background in risk and/or compliance positions within a regulated or complex operational setting.
• Advanced communication abilities to influence senior leaders and facilitate informed decision-making.
• Experience in supervising, coordinating, or providing functional leadership to specialized roles or small teams.
• Strong skills in preparing reporting documentation and analysis for senior management and governance forums.
• Capability to balance assurance, pragmatism, and collaboration in achieving risk outcomes.
