Revit Modeler – Drafter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Develop operational BIM/REVIT models for new design initiatives within current facilities

• Create and modify MEP Revit models or CAD files for MEP design initiatives within existing structures

• Conduct on-site CAD verification and site inspections

• Compile existing as-built documentation and generate functional Revit models

• Ensure all files adhere to client Revit/CAD standards, including title blocks, CTB plotting styles, layers, line types, symbols, scaling, annotations, text formatting, and naming conventions

• Assist with project closeout as-built documentation

• Collaborate with architectural, structural, and fire protection subconsultants

• Carry out or assist with the sizing of piping, ductwork, or electrical systems

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution, or equivalent certification, or a 2-year Associate/Drafter certification

• 5 years of experience in CAD

• At least 1 year of experience in BIM/Revit

• Demonstrated experience in managing and updating Revit/BIM files with numerous files and cross-references

• Proficient in performing sizing for piping, ductwork, or electrical systems

• Experience in coordinating with architectural, structural, and fire protection subconsultants

• Capability to utilize various software to update and generate work products via computer

• Effective verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to pass background security investigations for contractors as per VA Directive and Handbook 0710

• Competence in using software to monitor, update, and produce work products through computer literacy

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Eligibility for work status and successful completion of a federal government background check are required
