Revenue Integrity Auditor – Anesthesia

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conducting systematic reviews of anesthesia records to verify their accuracy, completeness, and adherence to regulatory and institutional standards.

• Ensuring that all necessary documentation, provider signatures, and charges are present and adequately supported.

• Aiding in quality assurance and regulatory compliance within the anesthesia department.

• Assisting with various auditor responsibilities as assigned.

• Monitoring, tracking, and reporting recurring errors or documentation trends to providers for process improvement initiatives.

• Collaborating with billing, compliance, and clinical departments to address documentation, regulatory, and process-related requirements.

• Performing detailed audits to ensure that all charges are captured, adequately supported by orders, and properly documented.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in medical chart review, medical auditing, or clinical documentation.

• Working knowledge of DRG and CPT coding systems.

• Proficiency in using Epic EMR.

• A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Health Information Management, or a related healthcare field; alternatively, an equivalent experience of at least 5 years in auditing and monitoring may substitute for a degree.

• Prior experience with anesthesia services or perioperative documentation is preferred.

• Familiarity with regulatory requirements (e.g., CMS, The Joint Commission, ASA guidelines) is preferred.

• RHIA or RHIT certification is preferred.
