This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Operates under general supervision within Revenue Cycle Management, assisting with billing and collections.

• Submit accurate claims to payors and conduct prompt follow-ups to address outstanding balances.

• Investigate, analyze, and resolve intricate cases and problematic accounts.

• Build and sustain relationships with clinical departments, clients, and patients.

• Address inquiries from patients, insurance providers, and third parties.

• Review accounts with providers and initiate collection calls upon approval.

• Keep comprehensive documentation of appeal activities in accordance with established policies.

⛳️ Requirements

• A High School Diploma or GED is mandatory. College-level courses in finance, business, or health insurance are preferred.

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in professional and/or hospital revenue cycle billing is required. Professional billing experience is strongly preferred.

• Experience in the field of gastroenterology is preferred.

• Capability to review and interpret medical documentation, including progress notes, lab results, and other clinical records, to ensure accurate billing, appeals, and charge validation.
