This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Supervise revenue cycle operations, which encompass charge entry, billing, claims management, patient accounts receivable, and insurance accounts receivable.
• Confirm claim details prior to billing.
• Assess surgical coding for precision before invoicing.
• Process primary, secondary, and tertiary claims while addressing any edits or rejections.
• Record payments from patients, insurers, and third parties.
• Address insurance and self-pay credits.
• Handle bad debt processes.
• Respond to phone inquiries.
• Fulfill assigned responsibilities and provide assistance to colleagues as needed.
• Adhere to policies introduced during onboarding, which are updated in real time and detailed in the Teammate Handbook.
• High School diploma or GED is required.
• A minimum of 1–2 years of experience in medical billing is essential.
• CPC or an equivalent certification is necessary.
• Experience in orthopedic coding is advantageous.
• Familiarity with NextGen and Amkai billing systems is preferred.
• Proficiency in navigating online payer portals and websites.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Outlook.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal abilities.
• Understanding of HIPAA confidentiality, safety protocols, risk management, and precautionary measures.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to detailed instructions.
• Ability to handle multiple factors, adapt to changes, and resolve initial-level issues.
