This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Execute month-end responsibilities, including account reconciliation, revenue and deferred revenue computation, accrual estimates, and analysis of revenue trends.
• Engage in new systems implementation and integration efforts to improve and automate our operational processes.
• Oversee and track Accounts Receivable (AR), develop metrics and dashboards, and manage both internal and external communications.
• Update and maintain internal control design and documentation throughout the 'order to cash' cycle.
• Handle daily, weekly, and ad-hoc responsibilities related to incoming collections and billing.
• Monitor incoming Accounts Receivable collections and general ledger applications on a daily basis.
• Conduct weekly reviews of AR Aging for specified payors.
• Analyze cash collections regularly.
• Manage daily and monthly invoicing and cash application for clinics that have been invoiced.
• Prepare monthly close journal entries and reconciliations.
• Identify new revenue streams as necessary, including sourcing the required data support, ensuring appropriate GL application, and owning journal entry and reconciliation completeness for financial review.
• Collaborate with external auditors to gather pertinent support and ensure adherence to internal controls.
• Prepare period-end close schedules and reporting for the Revenue accounting team.
• Interact with key stakeholders beyond the accounting department, including members of the Alto Finance Team, internal Project Managers for contracted invoiced clinics, and external billing teams for invoiced customers.
• Maintain and scrutinize complex schedules to verify the accuracy of open Accounts Receivable balances.
• Review and improve monthly balance sheet account reconciliations on an as-needed basis for Revenue-related accounts while assisting the Finance Team in reconciling discrepancies.
• Leverage financial and accounting expertise to analyze and interpret data, providing recommendations on potential courses of action as appropriate.
• Collaborate effectively with the team to successfully deliver on diverse and multiple objectives.
• Develop, implement, and uphold desktop procedures for ongoing revenue accounting tasks.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a revenue accountant or in a similar role, showcasing progressive responsibility and leadership in revenue accounting functions.
• Preferred 2+ years in a public accounting position.
• Familiarity with Sage Intacct, Inmar, and Floqast.
• Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, financial systems, and best practices in accounts receivable processes and controls.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong attention to detail, comfortable working with large data sets, and possess analytical thinking skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across teams within accounting functions and throughout the organization.
• Capacity to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload; able to thrive under pressure to meet deadlines – must have a passion for diving into details to resolve issues.
