Revenue Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the key subject matter expert on ASC 606, covering areas such as contract identification, performance obligations, transaction price allocation, variable consideration, contract modifications, and significant financing components.

• Prepare and evaluate technical accounting memorandums for intricate customer arrangements, including multi-element SaaS contracts, usage-based pricing, professional services, and partner agreements.

• Collaborate with Deal Desk, Legal, Sales, and RevOps to examine contract terms and assess revenue recognition implications.

• Maintain and enhance revenue recognition controls to guarantee accurate and compliant GAAP and SOX reporting.

• Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes associated with revenue and deferred revenue, including the preparation and review of journal entries and account reconciliations.

• Act as the primary revenue accounting contact for internal and external audits.

• Develop and uphold revenue accounting policies and standard operating procedures.

• Collaborate with RevOps and Systems teams to enhance quote-to-cash and revenue automation processes.

• Manage the SSP framework, encompassing methodology, analysis, refresh cadence, and documentation.

• Conduct SSP analyses to facilitate transaction price allocation in accordance with ASC 606.

• Work closely with FP&A and RevOps to support revenue forecasting, backlog analysis, and GAAP revenue timing.

• Provide accounting insights regarding new product launches, pricing strategies, and go-to-market changes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA designation is preferred.

• Over 2 years of experience in revenue or technical accounting with a solid understanding of ASC 606.

• Experience with the SaaS revenue model and skills in producing audit-ready documentation.
