This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist the field wholesaling team while collaborating with our onboarding, documentation, administration, and client experience teams.
• Develop and sustain strong relationships with Plan Sponsors, Financial Professionals, Recordkeepers, CPAs, and other stakeholders.
• Provide consultation to Plan Sponsors and advisors regarding custom retirement plan design, administration, compliance, and operational matters.
• Review, interpret, and clarify plan documents, amendments, notices, Summary Plan Descriptions, and IRS/DOL regulations.
• Evaluate plan provisions, eligibility criteria, highly compensated/key employee status, and plan features.
• Identify and address plan compliance issues, including testing and correction matters.
• Comprehend and discuss ADP/ACP testing, Cross-testing, and other profit-sharing allocation methods, along with Cash balance and 401(k) plan design coordination.
• Collaborate with our Onboarding team to facilitate the acquisition of necessary client data and follow up on any missing items.
• Dispatch service agreements to trustees via DocuSign, track their completion, and maintain well-organized client records.
• Retain a working knowledge of various recordkeeper and other platform solutions.
• Over 5 years of experience in the retirement plan industry, preferably in defined contribution administration and/or Third-Party Administration (TPA) consulting.
• Significant experience with: 401(k) and 403(b) Plans, Profit Sharing, Cash Balance and Defined Benefit Plans, PEPs, MEPs, and/or Groups of Plans.
• Demonstrated ability to work directly with clients, advisors, and recordkeepers in a consultative role.
• Experience in interpreting plan documents and applying ERISA, IRS, and DOL guidelines.
• Previous experience with plan compliance testing, corrections, and plan design analysis.
• A Bachelor's degree is required.
• ASPPA, NIPA, ERPA, or similar retirement plan credentials are preferred (or a willingness to obtain them).
