This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Travel to provider practices and patient residences for scheduled diabetic eye exams and retinal screenings.
• Operate retinal imaging equipment provided by the company.
• Assist in closing eye exam and related quality gaps.
• Complete company-sponsored training prior to conducting exams independently.
• Maintain proficiency through continuous training.
• Manage a daily schedule of eye exam appointments.
• Confirm appointments with both practices and patients.
• Organize travel logistics.
• Engage virtually with team members, internal partners, customers, providers, payers, and care teams on days without appointments.
• Develop and sustain working relationships with relevant stakeholders.
• Contribute to quality improvement, reporting, patient outreach, and customer success initiatives.
• Execute other assigned responsibilities.
• Willingness and capability to travel daily, potentially up to 100%, to provider practices.
• Must be a local resident of the Nashville, TN area.
• No previous experience in eye exams or imaging is necessary; comprehensive training and equipment will be provided.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Reliable transportation is essential.
• An associate degree or higher in a related field is preferred.
• A minimum of 1–3 years of experience in a healthcare environment.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, quality measures, medical billing, or coding is advantageous.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams, and various healthcare-related systems or applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Capacity to meet strict deadlines.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with management, colleagues, customers, providers, payers, and care teams.
• Capability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Must complete company-sponsored retinal imaging and eye exam procedure training prior to conducting independent exams.
• Company covers travel to and from appointments.
• Travel time is compensated.
• Mileage and travel expenses related to eye exam visits are covered by the company.
