This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Conduct scheduled diabetic eye examinations and retinal screenings for members at healthcare provider locations.
• Travel to various provider practices and patient residences for pre-arranged eye exam sessions.
• Utilize company-issued retinal imaging devices.
• Assist in addressing eye exam and related quality discrepancies.
• Complete company-sponsored training prior to performing exams independently.
• Uphold proficiency through continuous training as required.
• Organize a daily schedule for eye exam appointments.
• Confirm appointments with both practices and patients ahead of time.
• Coordinate travel arrangements.
• Engage virtually with team members, internal partners, customers, providers, payers, and care teams on days without appointments.
• Foster and sustain professional relationships with colleagues, customers, providers, payers, and care teams.
• Undertake responsibilities that support quality enhancement, reporting, patient outreach, and customer success.
• Adhere to security protocols and procedures to safeguard PHI, PII, and Guidehealth intellectual property.
• Willingness and capability to travel daily, up to 100%, to provider practices.
• Applicants must reside locally in the Philadelphia, PA area.
• No previous experience in eye examinations or imaging is necessary; comprehensive training and equipment will be provided.
• A valid driver’s license and dependable transportation are required.
• An associate degree or higher in a relevant field is preferred.
• A minimum of 1–3 years of experience in a healthcare environment is needed.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, quality measures, medical billing, or coding is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams, and various healthcare-related systems or applications is essential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities are required.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are crucial.
• Capability to meet strict deadlines is necessary.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with management, colleagues, customers, providers, payers, and care teams.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• A minimum internet speed of 100 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload is required.
• Must comply with security policies and procedures to protect PHI, PII, and company intellectual property.
• Company covers travel to and from appointments.
• Travel time is compensated.
• Mileage and travel costs related to eye exam visits are reimbursed by the company.
• Hourly compensation ranges from $22 to $24.
• Mileage reimbursement follows IRS guidelines.
