This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.
• Conduct scheduled diabetic eye examinations and retinal screenings for members at healthcare provider locations.
• Travel to healthcare provider sites and patient residences for prearranged eye exam appointments.
• Utilize company-issued retinal imaging devices.
• Assist in closing eye exam and associated quality gaps.
• Complete training on retinal imaging devices and eye exam protocols prior to performing exams independently.
• Maintain proficiency through continuous training.
• Oversee a daily schedule of eye exam appointments.
• Confirm appointments with both practices and patients ahead of time.
• Coordinate travel arrangements.
• Engage virtually with colleagues, internal partners, customers, providers, payers, and care teams on days without appointments.
• Develop and sustain professional relationships with co-workers, customers, providers, payers, and care teams.
• Carry out responsibilities that support quality improvement, reporting, patient outreach, and customer satisfaction.
• Adhere to security protocols and procedures to safeguard PHI, PII, and Guidehealth intellectual property.
• Willingness and capability to travel daily, up to 100%, to provider practices.
• Previous experience in eye exams or imaging is not required; comprehensive training and equipment will be provided.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
• An associate degree or higher in a relevant field is required.
• A minimum of 1–3 years of experience in a healthcare environment.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, quality measures, medical billing, or coding is advantageous.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams, and various healthcare-related systems or applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
• Competence in meeting strict deadlines.
• Ability to collaborate efficiently with management, co-workers, customers, providers, payers, and care teams.
• Capacity to work independently in a remote setting.
• Access to an internet connection with a minimum of 100 Mbps download speed and 10 Mbps upload speed.
• Certification or licensure as a healthcare professional, such as CMA or LPN, is preferred.
