This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee a real-time overview of resource availability, capacity, and utilization for Managed Services across various business units and practices.
• Detect trends of under- and over-utilization, and suggest corrective measures.
• Create and manage a skills inventory database that includes capabilities, certifications, and development objectives.
• Collaborate with project managers and delivery leads to predict resource demand for the upcoming 4 to 12 weeks.
• Lead weekly or bi-weekly resource planning meetings with department leaders and practice heads.
• Promote an internal-first staffing approach by discussing project requirements and roles with current employees prior to seeking external candidates.
• Establish thresholds in collaboration with HR and talent acquisition for external hiring or contracting needs.
• Align bench-eligible, under-allocated, or growth-focused employees with appropriate assignments.
• Maintain a pipeline of internal candidates to address future resource requirements.
• Serve as a liaison between delivery teams, people managers, HR, and leadership on resourcing issues.
• Communicate resourcing decisions effectively and escalate conflicts or capacity challenges along with proposed solutions.
• Oversee staffing vendors, contractors, and contingent workforce partners when internal resources are insufficient.
• Monitor contractor expenditures, compare internal costs, and analyze external market rates.
• Create utilization dashboards and reports for leadership.
• Track utilization rates, bench time, internal versus external time-to-fill, and skill-gap trends.
• Deliver forecasting reports to assist with headcount planning and budget cycles.
• Recognize patterns in resource gaps and contribute to workforce development and hiring strategies.
• 3 to 5 years of experience specifically in Resource Management.
• 2 years of experience in a Managed Services provider setting.
• Proven experience managing resources across technical, project management, and operations functions.
• A data-driven mindset with a history of generating utilization reports and capacity forecasts.
• Outstanding interpersonal and negotiation abilities.
• Capacity to manage sensitive workforce discussions with discretion and empathy.
• Familiarity with cloud technology roles and skill sets, such as Azure, AWS, infrastructure, and DevOps.
• PMI, PMP, or ITIL certification is advantageous.
• Strong comprehension of Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery methodologies.
• Capability to balance immediate project demands with long-term workforce development objectives.
• Aptitude for building trust with project leaders, people managers, HR, and executives.
• Skill in clearly communicating trade-offs, decisions, and forecasts to diverse audiences.
• Ability to transform utilization and capacity data into actionable insights.
• Associated travel of 5%.
