This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Provide comprehensive support across various functions for IDRA’s research and evaluation team.
• Produce timely analytical outputs that assist IDRA and its initiatives.
• Gather data from diverse sources.
• Process, organize, clean, and verify data.
• Create detailed reports.
• Present findings to key stakeholders.
• Engage in strategic discussions and participate in research team meetings.
• Contribute to advocacy, outreach, or educational practice initiatives.
• Aid in administrative or project coordination activities.
• Conduct multi-day visits at higher education institutions across the continental United States and U.S. territories.
• Commitment to a full-time fellowship beginning in September 2026 and concluding in August 2027.
• A degree in a quantitative discipline such as economics, social sciences, statistics, public policy, business administration, or a related field.
• Ability to travel for multi-day visits at higher education institutions in the continental United States and U.S. territories, approximately one to two visits per month.
• Interest in acquiring knowledge about various aspects of evaluation, including data analysis, research, and site visits.
• Strong aptitude for quickly learning new concepts and tools.
• Excellent writing abilities suitable for a range of purposes and audiences.
• Willingness to educate and share knowledge and skills with students, families, IDRA staff and fellows, and other partners.
• Commitment to fostering relationships with young individuals, families, teachers, and other advocates for public and higher education.
• Dedication to enhancing access to high-quality pre-K-12 education and opportunities for college access and completion for all students, especially those from historically marginalized groups.
• Strong interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders from federal agencies, higher education, K-12, and nonprofit organizations.
• A graduate degree, preferably a Ph.D. (or five years of experience in a related field).
• Proven knowledge and application of research methodologies and assessment practices.
• Strong technical and data analytical capabilities.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience in data collection and statistical reporting.
• Proficient in statistical software, such as MS Excel, R (Posit), and/or Dedoose.
• Experience with survey tools like Qualtrics and/or Survey Monkey.
• Background in both quantitative and qualitative research.
• Familiarity with education data sets is preferred.
• Previous experience handling confidential information within established guidelines is preferred.
• Contribution towards medical insurance.
