Research Engineer/Research Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Delivering personalized coaching to Mento members through virtual sessions utilizing the Mento Platform and Tools.

• Engaging in continuous training sessions to enhance coaching skills and abilities.

• Interacting with members via your Mento email or through chat in the Mento App between sessions.

• Being a vital part of the Mento coaching community by sharing coaching tools and insights — contributing to the improvement of our coaching practices and supporting our mission of empowering individuals to excel in careers they cherish.

• Acting as an ambassador of the Mento community with kindness, respect, and empathy.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 15 years of experience leading technical research teams within or adjacent to the technology sector.

• A proficient technical researcher or engineer with knowledge in both theoretical and applied AI/ML, large-scale modeling, computer science, or mathematical sciences.

• A research leader with publications, patents, experience in top research organizations, and/or a PhD is preferred.

• You possess leadership experience in coaching individuals (coaching certification is advantageous but not mandatory).

• An individual eager to transform their people leadership skills into impactful coaching abilities.

• Enthusiastic about aiding individuals in advancing their careers to create fulfilling professional lives.

• A self-aware person with a high emotional intelligence who values creating a safe environment for others to express vulnerability.

• Eager to develop your coaching skills, approaching the experience with a growth mindset, regardless of your coaching experience.

• Comfortable navigating a dynamic startup environment.

• Capable of committing at least 12+ hours per month to coaching at Mento for a duration of 24+ months.

• This position is contractual, with coaches compensated on an hourly basis.

• In addition to a standard hourly rate, we provide select bonuses that encourage engagement with our members and support community growth on our platform.

• You must have the ability to dedicate a minimum of three to five hours per week to Mento, regardless of other obligations and potential changes.

• Commitment to work with Mento for at least 24 months is required to foster meaningful relationships with our members.
