This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Access primary resources, such as papers and patents, to confirm protein target assignments against UniProt records.
• Identify and categorize target assignment inaccuracies using a structured taxonomy.
• Suggest accurate UniProt accessions when assignments are incorrect.
• Draft clear, evidence-based notes elucidating scientific rationale.
• Contribute to initiatives that support AI-driven drug discovery pipelines.
• Engage in projects aimed at training and improving AI systems.
• BA/BS with over 5 years, MS with over 2 years, or PhD with industry or drug discovery research experience.
• Expertise in pharmacology, biochemistry, molecular biology, or chemical biology.
• Experience within a biotech, pharmaceutical, or CRO environment.
• Practical experience with binding or functional assays, including SPR, TR-FRET, radioligand binding, kinase assays, GPCR functional assays, and IC50/Ki/KD.
• Currently active in a research, scientist, or associate scientist role.
• Proficient in UniProt or related workflows, such as SAR support, HTS, target validation, biochemical profiling, or IND-enabling studies.
• U.S. only.
• Must be unable to require H1-B or STEM OPT sponsorship; the employer cannot support H1-B or STEM OPT candidates.
• Preferred: direct experience with ChEMBL, BindingDB, or PubChem.
• Preferred: experience in selectivity profiling or counterscreening.
• Preferred: familiarity with distinctions between agonists/antagonists and activators/inhibitors.
• Fully remote position.
