This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and implement a research agenda focused on the efficacy, outcomes, and growth of children and families within Full-Service Community Schools.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff at National University to establish frameworks that allow both graduate and undergraduate students to engage in research activities.
• Conduct research and assess the development and execution of programs using quantitative and mixed-methods research methodologies.
• Create research briefs, white papers, and tools aimed at improving user experience; engage with other departments within National University (such as the Cause Research Institute) to strengthen research initiatives.
• Work alongside researchers, graduate students, and post-doctoral fellows at NU Cause Research Institute, Sanford College of Education, JFK School of Psychology and Social Sciences, and School of Health Professions to collaboratively build a comprehensive research agenda in support of ENLACES.
• Participate in research-practice partnerships with district partners and strategic collaborators to gain insights into the implementation of innovative solutions derived from ENLACES.
• Oversee research projects with a team of researchers (including graduate students and research assistants), balancing the interests of various internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.
• Engage in training and providing guidance to graduate and undergraduate students involved in research projects.
• Collect, organize, and maintain datasets related to services offered to children, families, and educators through ENLACES.
• Analyze data to produce evidence that can inform policy and practice.
• Author research reports, briefing memos, summaries of academic articles, books, blogs, and news pieces both independently and in partnership with other researchers and scholars (both internal and external).
• Present findings from empirical analysis in engaging and easily digestible table and graphical formats.
• Assist in writing grant proposals to secure continued funding for community school initiatives.
• Contribute to the content development of RFPs.
• Collaborate with external clients and consultants to support research and evaluation efforts.
• Review content, products, and materials to ensure alignment with evidence-based practices.
• Attend conferences and seminars as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• A doctoral degree in education, psychology, research methodology, or a related field, along with a minimum of three years of relevant experience is required.
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in leading research projects (in roles such as project director or task lead) is required.
• Experience in project management and continuous improvement is highly desirable.
• Preferred experience includes data collection or evaluation in community- and school-based environments.
• Experience with mixed-methods research is preferred.
• Preferred experience in building and maintaining partnerships.
• Experience in grant writing is preferred.
• Experience in designing analyses with practical implications is preferred.
