This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Create research methodologies from the ground up, including survey design, sampling strategies, data collection, and statistical analysis.
• Examine extensive datasets (often comprising hundreds of thousands of data points) utilizing Python, R, or similar tools to uncover significant patterns.
• Identify and shape the data narrative, collaborating with stakeholders to transform data into a compelling story that drives business results.
• Work alongside editorial, digital PR, and SEO strategy teams to produce research reports that receive citations, shares, and coverage from industry media.
• Develop clear and engaging data visualizations that simplify complex findings for non-technical audiences.
• Construct and maintain BI dashboards (Looker, GA4) that provide clients and internal teams with actionable performance insights.
• Present research insights and data visualizations in formats that are easy to understand and share.
• Collaborate with SEO strategists, content leaders, and clients to pinpoint research questions that merit exploration.
• Establish connections with industry influencers, software and agency partners, and our broader ecosystem to collaborate on research studies, gather data, engage in campaigns, and enhance the distribution of our work.
• Share findings with client stakeholders and convert data into strategic recommendations.
• Test new tools, methodologies, and data sources, particularly at the crossroads of AI, search, and content.
• You have designed and implemented original surveys or research studies (not merely analyzed existing data).
• You possess strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of crafting narratives that contextualize findings for a business audience, rather than just extracting quotes from datasets.
• Demonstrated expertise in quantitative analysis, including statistical methods, data cleaning, and handling datasets with over 1,000 records.
• Proficiency in Python, R, or similar programming languages for data analysis (beyond just Excel, although that is also beneficial).
• Experience in data visualization; you understand how to create charts that effectively communicate information rather than simply decorate.
• Comfortable presenting findings to clients and non-technical stakeholders.
• 100% remote flexibility.
