Senior Research and Development Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the discovery, assessment, and advancement of new technologies, products, or processes.

• Remain updated on industry trends, scientific innovations, and competitive technologies.

• Utilize extensive technical knowledge to address intricate challenges and develop creative solutions.

• Create, prototype, and validate R&D concepts through modeling, simulation, experimentation, or proof-of-concept projects.

• Perform feasibility studies, cost-benefit analyses, and risk evaluations for new ventures.

• Act as the subject matter expert in designated technical areas.

• Compile and disseminate research results, reports, and technical documentation.

• Ensure that R&D projects comply with organizational, regulatory, and ethical standards.

• Engage in intellectual property development, including patents and technology disclosures.

• Proficiency in one or more relevant technical fields (e.g., software engineering, materials science, biotechnology, data science, advanced manufacturing).

• Experience in prototyping, modeling/simulation, and experimental design.

• Understanding of technology transfer, commercialization, or systems integration.

• Acquainted with project management methodologies (Agile, Stage-Gate, etc.).

• Required Clearance: Top Secret

• Certifications: DoD 8140 certifications

• Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Life Sciences, or a related technical field.

• Required Experience: 8 years of experience in R&D, innovation, or applied research positions.

• DoD 8140 Certification

• Desired Qualifications: Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Life Sciences, or a related technical discipline.
