Global Consultation Research Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Evaluate qualitative and quantitative data gathered from stakeholder surveys, interviews, and focus groups.

• Integrate complex information into key themes, trends, and actionable insights.

• Compose clear and concise data summaries that emphasize key findings, customized for both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Assist in the creation of a comprehensive data collection plan and analysis methodology based on established research tools.

• Collaborate with partners to clarify qualitative data that may be ambiguous due to transcription, translation, or contextual factors.

• Assess and integrate both quantitative and qualitative data collected from 13 countries, including quantitative data from around 1,300 surveys and qualitative data from 20-40 focus group discussions.

• Extract key findings and recommendations from the updated data gathered.

• Generate an internal written summary of significant global findings and recommendations derived from the data.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master’s degree or an equivalent specialized advanced university degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Public Policy, Public Health, or a related discipline.

• At least 5 years of professional experience in leading research, evaluation, or consultation processes, including expertise in data methodology and analysis, qualitative synthesis, and research reporting.

• Substantial experience in designing data collection tools and performing qualitative and quantitative data analysis using Kobo Toolbox and Excel for quantitative survey data, along with other qualitative data analysis tools for focus groups and interviews.

• Ability to produce concise and accessible learning outputs for diverse policy and donor stakeholders across security, diplomacy, and humanitarian sectors.

• Experience managing a significant volume of sensitive data that includes references to armed conflict, death, gender-based violence, human suffering, and human rights violations.

• Track record of delivering high-quality work while adhering to strict deadlines, as confirmed by references.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including the capacity to develop clear, high-quality documents and facilitate online sessions.

• Proficient computer skills, including experience with data analysis software, presentation tools, Microsoft Word and Excel, and online video conferencing platforms.

• Proficiency in English.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with team members from diverse backgrounds and cultures.

• Capability to manage multiple projects and timelines effectively.

• Adaptability to work with evolving information and iterative data inflow.

• Commitment to confidentiality.

• Fluency in French or Arabic is a plus.

• Experience collaborating with women’s rights organizations and in gender equality or women’s leadership programming.
