This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the management and maintenance of the site repository sample for a local client.
• Execute all tasks methodically and in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Comply with FDA Good Practices (GMP, GTP, GLP, GDP), International Organization of Standards (ISO), College of American Pathologists (CAP) standards, and other regulatory requirements as specified in SOPs.
• Assist in the scheduled and unscheduled installation, maintenance, calibration, and validation of storage environments.
• Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions or collaborate with a third party for repairs.
• Install, maintain, and repair temperature monitoring systems.
• Handle materials to ensure they are kept at required temperatures (+30°C to -196°C) in accordance with SOPs.
• Adhere to all safety protocols while handling infectious and non-infectious biological materials, radioactive substances, chemical compounds, and drug products.
• Ensure the chain of custody and audit trails for all activities are diligently maintained using Azenta or client systems.
• Assist the client and scientists in managing the inventory of consumables and supplies.
• Support client and scientist requests, including sample inventory, receipt, labeling, and shipping tasks.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
• High School Diploma with 1 year of proven experience in equipment maintenance and repair, or 6 months of demonstrated expertise in freezer repair and maintenance.
• Vocational training or relevant experience in a mechanical field.
• Experience in scientific equipment repairs is preferred.
• A professional degree is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret basic correspondence, instructions, rules, and procedures in English.
• Capability to make decisions and judgments based on logical reasoning.
• Proficiency in performing tasks accurately while adhering to established protocols.
• Strong attention to detail for repetitive tasks.
• Proficient in using the Microsoft Office suite, performing basic and intermediate functions.
