• Capture the client’s existing reporting needs based on data from Oracle Federal Financials.
• Collaborate with Finance personnel to pinpoint the reports utilized across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and procurement operations.
• Assess the reporting capabilities of Core FS solutions and evaluate their alignment with the client’s requirements.
• Identify reporting functionalities that can be supported with minimal alterations, require substantial revisions, or are not supported at all.
• Work alongside Federal Accountants and the Financial Systems Analyst to evaluate shortcomings in reporting capabilities.
• Propose strategies to tackle rework and unsupported reporting functionalities.
• Assist in the creation of gap reports, additional feature reports, and Core FS summaries by offering insights from a reporting and data perspective.
• Help evaluate agency-specific reporting customization and the flexibility of data extraction.
• Aid in the identification of performance service measures related to reporting that are suitable for the client’s financial processes.
• Collaborate closely with the Project Manager and the client’s Finance team during interviews, workshops, and review sessions.
• Compile written analyses, visualizations, and contributions for weekly meetings, monthly status reports, and deliverable submissions.
• Over 3 years of experience in financial reporting, business intelligence, or data analytics (experience in a federal environment is preferred).
• In-depth understanding of federal financial reporting standards and accounting data structures.
• Expertise in reporting tools and techniques (e.g., SQL, Oracle BI, Tableau, Power BI, or their equivalents).
• Proven ability to analyze intricate data sets and communicate findings effectively.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills essential for report preparation and interaction with finance staff.
• Must be a US Citizen or possess a Permanent Resident Card.
• Bachelor's degree or 8 years of relevant experience equivalent to the degree.
