This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North America.

📋 Description

• Deliver news and provide exclusive reporting on the US airline industry.

• Create insightful analysis and in-depth reporting on airline strategy, competition, fleet changes, networks, sustainability, regulations, and financial performance.

• Cover significant industry events, earnings reports, leadership transitions, and operational updates.

• Assist the airlines team with data-driven journalism and market analysis initiatives.

• Collaborate with editors and analysts to analyze operational, financial, and network data.

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with airline executives, analysts, regulators, unions, airports, and industry stakeholders.

• Represent FlightGlobal at industry conferences, media briefings, and various events.

• Work collaboratively across digital platforms, magazines, multimedia, and special editorial projects.

• Support coverage priorities for Airline Business Magazine as needed.

• Background in business, financial, transport, or aviation journalism.

• Strong news judgment and the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.

• Exceptional writing, reporting, and analytical capabilities.

• Proven ability to cultivate sources and generate exclusive stories.

• Keen interest in airline economics, strategy, and data analysis.

• Skill in clearly interpreting complex industry and financial developments for readers.

• Experience in a digital-first newsroom environment is preferred.
